Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera star in The Copenhagen Test, a spy thriller about Alexander Hale, a Chinese-American analyst working for a secret agency called The Orphanage. When Alexander suspects he’s being framed as a mole – and discovers someone has hacked his senses – he pretends everything is normal while secretly helping to find the real culprit. As the agency closes in, they create an elaborate false reality for him, complete with a fake promotion, a staged relationship, and a dangerous mission that blurs the line between what’s real and what’s paranoia.

However, Aramide Tinubu of Variety felt the show had potential but was bogged down by a needlessly complex plot and too many characters, ultimately leading to a disappointing result.
