The sequel to the popular show Peaky Blinders, called The Immortal Man, is now playing in theaters. Reviews are starting to come in before it becomes available on Netflix later this month.
Initial reviews started appearing on March 5th, and Rotten Tomatoes has currently collected 28 of them. Although the score could change as more reviews come in, the Tomatometer is currently at a strong 93%.
I’ve been looking at the reviews, and it’s amazing – a huge 93% of them are really positive! Only about seven seem to lean towards a negative opinion. It’s incredibly encouraging to see so much support for the film.
This is sure to build even more anticipation among fans heading to theaters this weekend, or those waiting to watch it on Netflix starting March 20th.
As a movie fan, I read Terry Staunton’s review in TopMob, and he hit the nail on the head. He pointed out that when they took a story originally spread out over six hours and crammed it into a movie, things just felt rushed. You inevitably lose some of the details and depth of the characters when you cut things down that much.
Despite the complex history of Peaky Blinders, the writer Steven Knight and director Tom Harper have created a strong story that still works even if you’re not familiar with what happened before.
In Birmingham, England, during World War II in 1940, Tommy Shelby returns from hiding and must confront his biggest challenge yet.
Several original stars from the BBC show, such as Cillian Murphy, Sophie Rundle, and Steven Graham, are back for the movie. Joining them are new cast members Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Barry Keoghan.

As a huge Peaky Blinders fan, I was thrilled to see ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ hit UK cinemas! If you can’t make it to the cinema, good news – it’ll be streaming on Netflix starting Friday, March 20th, 2026. And if you’re not already a member, you can sign up for just £5.99 a month. You can also catch Netflix on platforms like Sky Glass and Virgin Media, so there are plenty of ways to watch!
