To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the brand is launching a series of exciting partnerships and merchandise featuring the beloved Pokémon characters, both in Japan and around the world. The newest collaboration is with a famous soft drink company, and the resulting collection of uniquely designed bottles is proving incredibly popular with fans – they’re eager to collect them all!
Suntory Beverage & Food in Japan is building on its partnership with Pokémon, releasing drinks with special Pokémon-themed artwork. The designs will appear on beverages like Pepsi and others, highlighting how Pokémon evolve. Pikachu and several other popular Pokémon characters will be featured on these limited-edition bottles and cans.
Pepsi Levels Up and Evolves with New Pokémon Anniversary Designs

Suntory Beverage & Food, a major drink company in Japan, has partnered with Pokémon again, resulting in exciting new packaging for their beverages. This collaboration features 18 different bottle designs, showcasing six Pokémon in various stages of evolution—from their baby forms to their most powerful states. The drink colors and flavors are also themed to match each Pokémon, creating a fun and cohesive experience.
Several Pokémon-themed drinks feature Pokémon that evolve over time. The C.C. Lemon line showcases Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu, highlighting the evolution of the franchise’s iconic mascot. Pepsi BIG ZERO, with its fiery design, features Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard. The lemon-flavored Pepsi BIG ZERO bottles depict Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise alongside images of rushing water and citrus fruit.
The POP Melon Soda Pokémon bottles have a green color scheme and feature Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur. Newer Pokémon are showcased on the Natchan Apple and Natchan Orange labels. The Apple label highlights the Applin evolutionary line, and the Orange label features Pawmi and its evolution.
The bottles will cost about $1.40 each and will be available in Japanese convenience stores starting in June. It’s currently unknown if they will be sold outside of Japan, but American anime and manga fans have seen similar drinks released in the past. These bottles are just one example of the many products – including food and collectibles – being launched worldwide this year.
