Percy Jackson Season 2: All the Confirmed New & Returning Cast & Characters

The second season of Percy Jackson on Disney+ kicks off a new adventure – the quest for the Golden Fleece! Camp Half-Blood and Mount Olympus are growing, with returning favorites and exciting new characters joining the story. Premiering December 10, 2025, this season will be more emotionally challenging for Percy, Grover, and Annabeth as they face danger on the Sea of Monsters in a crucial mission. Alongside the gods and mortals we met in Season 1, we’ll see new figures from Greek mythology and Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians books. With the threat of Kronos still present, the stakes are incredibly high for Percy and his friends as their epic journey continues, brought to life by a talented cast.

Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson

Walker Scobell returns as Percy Jackson, the demigod son of Poseidon. Even though he has powerful water-manipulating abilities and a divine family history, Percy is still learning what it means to be a hero and is struggling to connect with the gods. In the second season, he’ll face a perilous journey across the Sea of Monsters to protect Camp Half-Blood and save a friend.

Annabeth is the strategic thinker of the main group, helping them navigate dangers with her intelligence and knowledge of mythology. This season, she’ll face challenges to her leadership and learn surprising things about her mother.

Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan

I’m really intrigued to see Charlie Bushnell back as Luke Castellan! He plays Luke so well – you first meet him as this helpful, older camper at Camp Half-Blood, and he seems like a great guy. But then you find out he’s been harboring all this resentment towards the gods, and it’s a total shock! He quickly becomes the big bad guy, and honestly, knowing he’s back makes me worried for Percy and all the other demigods. I have a feeling he’s going to keep causing trouble.

Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue

Dior Goodjohn is back as Clarisse La Rue, the strong and often frightening daughter of the war god, Ares. Clarisse is a skilled fighter who leads the Ares campers and has a long-standing competitive relationship with Percy Jackson. This season, she’ll be even more central to the effort to protect Camp Half-Blood.

Also Seen In:

Toby Stephens as Poseidon

Toby Stephens is back as Poseidon, the powerful God of the Sea and Percy Jackson’s distant but caring father. Poseidon is one of the three most powerful gods, and he made a promise with his brothers not to have children with mortals. Because of this, Percy’s birth creates a lot of trouble among the gods. Even from a distance, Poseidon influences Percy’s life and the events of the coming war.

Also Seen In:

  • Die Another Day
  • Lost in Space
  • Black Sails

Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson

Virginia Kull reprises her role as Sally Jackson, Percy’s mother. Though she doesn’t have any supernatural powers, Sally is a strong and resourceful woman who knows a lot about mythology because of her relationship with Poseidon. She provides Percy with unwavering love and stability, grounding him in the human world.

Also Seen In:

  • Big Little Lies
  • The Looming Tower
  • NOS4A2

Glynn Turman as Chiron / Mr. Brunner

Glynn Turman is back as Chiron, and it’s fantastic! He perfectly embodies the ancient centaur who runs the activities at Camp Half-Blood. As a trainer of heroes, he’s seen it all, and his wisdom is a huge asset to Percy and the other demigods – though I have to say, his disappearing act for a portion of the new season is a little odd. Still, his guidance is invaluable, especially considering he originally posed as Percy’s Latin teacher – talk about a cover story!

Also Seen In:

  • The Wire
  • Fargo
  • Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus

Jason Mantzoukas returns as Dionysus, or Mr. D, the god of wine who’s forced to stay sober and reluctantly runs Camp Half-Blood. He’s constantly frustrated with his job, which Zeus gave him as a punishment.

Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes

Lin-Manuel Miranda is back as Hermes, the Greek god of travel, trade, and mischief, who also delivers messages for the other gods. Because he’s the father of Luke Castellans, Hermes is caught up in the growing conflict.
