‘Percy Jackson’s Dafne Keen Teases Artemis’ “Badass” Season 3 Role

The second season of the show has finished on Disney+, and viewers are excited to see what happens next. Each season is getting bigger and better, so the third season will likely introduce new characters and cover the events of Rick Riordan’s third book, The Titan’s Curse. Joining the cast for season three is , known for their role in Deadpool & Wolverine, who will play Artemis.

In a recent interview with MovieWeb, actress Emily Keen discussed her work on the upcoming third season of the show. While she couldn’t reveal specific plot details, she emphasized just how massive the production has been.

The story is developing into something really beautiful and complex, which is fantastic. What’s especially wonderful is how it’s evolving alongside the young actors, and that doesn’t happen often. They’re all improving so much, and the production itself is getting grander. I’ve seen some of the sets, and while I can’t reveal any details, the level of detail is incredible – some of the best I’ve ever seen.

Keen will be playing Artemis, the Greek goddess known for the moon and hunting. The character is portrayed in the books as a noble and respectable warrior, which Keen suggested fans can look forward to seeing in the third season.

She’s a strong, spirited, and fun person, but also has a serious side. Above all, she’s deeply caring and compassionate.

‘Percy Jackson & the Olympians’ Saw a Downturn in Viewership in Season 2

Disney+

Despite a strong start for Percy Jackson & the Olympians on Disney+ in 2023 – with viewers watching 1.3 billion minutes of the first season in the U.S. – the second season saw a significant drop in viewership, logging only 483 million minutes watched in its first month. While the series could still gain momentum, as some prefer to watch a full season all at once, these numbers are concerning for its future.

Even though viewership fell significantly, the series has consistently been the most-watched show on Disney+ since it premiered, which is quite surprising. Season 3 was already being made before Season 2 even launched, but it will be interesting to see if the show gets renewed for a fourth season given these lower numbers.
