As a big Persona fan, I was starting to get a little worried about Persona 6. Atlus has said for a while now that it’s coming after Persona 5, which launched way back in 2017, but we haven’t gotten any official news. Thankfully, a reliable insider just shared an update that seems to confirm development is still on track, so it looks like we don’t need to worry about it being stuck in development!
A reliable industry insider known as “Nate the Hate” recently shared an update about Persona 6. He confirmed that the game is still in development and not abandoned, despite growing concerns among fans. This means the delay in officially revealing Persona 6 isn’t due to problems with the game itself, offering reassurance that it’s still on track for eventual release.

The main reason development of Persona 6 is taking a while is that Atlus has been busy with other games. Last year, they released Metaphor: ReFantazio, a completely new game, and they’ve also been working on remakes of Persona 3 and Persona 4 (with the Persona 4 remake still upcoming). All this extra work has likely spread Atlus’s resources thin, meaning Persona 6 hasn’t been their top priority until recently.
Currently, there’s no confirmed release date or platforms announced for Persona 6. Before that, Persona 4 Revival is expected to be released, but a launch date hasn’t been announced yet either.
