Persona 6 Reveal Rumours Return, and Mega Xbox Showcase Is the Catalyst

Now that Xbox has announced a major event this summer, rumors about Persona 6 are starting up once more.

It’s finally here – the new Persona RPG fans have been anticipating for years! It’s hard to believe the original Persona 5 came out almost a decade ago. The developers are taking their time to make it just right.

Rumors about Persona 6 are circulating on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, thanks to comments from industry insider eXtas1s. He suggests the game might be revealed this year, and because SEGA is partnering closely with Xbox, the announcement could happen at an Xbox event.

The important thing to note is that eXtas1s isn’t the first to report this information. He’s simply sharing what he’s heard from other sources and people who may be in the know.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped all the gaming sites and news places from acting like this announcement is a done deal! They’re running with the story like it’s definitely going to happen, which is pretty exciting, even if it’s not official yet.

Just as a reminder, a new Persona game – Persona 4 Revival – is also currently being developed. Although it’s likely not being made by the same team working on Persona 6, it’s scheduled to be released within the next year.

Or at least, that’s the window that SEGA said it was targeting in a previous business report.

We don’t expect Atlus and SEGA to announce Persona 6 anytime soon, as they’re currently focused on other Persona projects. We believe a reveal of Persona 4 Revival this summer is far more probable, possibly leading to a release in late 2026 or early 2027.

Rumors about Persona 6 keep circulating, and until an official reveal happens, they’re likely to persist. Fans are still waiting for more information…

Honestly, I’m dying to know when Persona 6 is coming out! But let’s be real, don’t go getting too excited and expecting an announcement anytime soon, okay?
