Peter Dinklage Joins Cast of Beloved FX Sci-Fi Show’s Second Season

The cast of Alien: Earth Season 2 is expanding with a major addition – a well-known actor from Game of Thrones. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next season of the FX series.

Who has joined the cast of Alien: Earth Season 2?

Peter Dinklage, famous for playing Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, is joining the cast of Alien: Earth for its second season, according to Deadline. Details about his character are currently being kept under wraps.

We don’t have details on the rest of the Season 2 cast yet, but production is starting in May, so announcements are likely coming soon. Peter Dinklage is joining Sydney Chandler, along with returning cast members from Season 1: Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.

Peter Dinklage has been consistently working since finishing his role on Game of Thrones. He recently appeared in the films Roofman (2025), Wicked (2024), and Brothers. He’s currently filming the comedy Idiots and the romantic fantasy Wicker, both of which are expected to be released soon.

As a huge fan of the Alien franchise, I was so excited for “Alien: Earth” when it finally dropped in 2025. It’s an eight-episode series crafted by Noah Hawley, and what’s really cool is it takes place two years before the original movie. The story centers around Wendy, a unique character who’s a hybrid, and she’s leading a team to investigate the USCSS Maginot after it crash-lands on Earth. And honestly, the critics loved it – it scored a fantastic 94% on Rotten Tomatoes!
