How to Unlock Phantom Dash

You need to reach level 17 to unlock Phantom Dash. This is because the ability to gain Terra Resonance – which lets you interact with objects to gain new character traits and abilities – becomes available at level 17.

Float Ability

You need to learn how to float before you can unlock the dash. You’ll find the ability to float by traveling to the Cliff Ruins and heading towards Hero’s Herb.

This big, blue plant will unlock a new ability for you. Simply interact with it to gain that power!

The float ability lets you glide and travel through the air. You need some height to use it, and it’s a great way to reach distant places if you’re starting from an elevated position.

Phantom Dash Location

Okay, so once you get Float unlocked, the first thing you should do is fast travel to Andra Resting Post. When you get there, you’ll see this wind tunnel – it’s just a little ways past it on a dirt path. Ride through the tunnel, and it’ll take you right to the top of the Towering Ruins. Once you’re up there, interact with the Wind Core to resonate with it, and boom – you’ll unlock the Phantom Dash! It’s super helpful for getting around.


How to use the Phantom Dash

Now you can overcome Wind Barriers guarding chests! Just equip the new ability through the skills menu, found in the Terra Resonance section.

Press E when you are running to perform this skill. If you are on the keyboard, press W+E.

That’s everything you need to learn the Phantom Dash! It can be a little tricky to reach, since it’s located high up, but once you get it, you’ll be able to move around the map and fight much more effectively.
