Phasmophobia coming to Switch 2 in 2026

Kinetic Games plans to bring its cooperative horror game, Phasmophobia, to the Switch2 in 2026, according to the developer.

The ghost-hunting game Phasmophobia initially became available on PC through Steam on September 18, 2020. It later launched on PlayStation 5 (with support for PlayStation VR2) and Xbox Series on October 29, 2024. As of today, the game has sold over 25 million copies.

Kinetic Games is thrilled to announce that Phasmophobia will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2. According to CEO and Game Director Daniel Knight, both the development team and the game’s community have been eager for a Switch release. With the full version of the game planned for 2026, they’re excited to welcome new players. The team is happy Switch 2 users will be able to enjoy all the current and future content, including updates released throughout 2025.

Here is a brief overview of the game, via Kinetic Games:

Okay, so I’ve been playing Phasmophobia lately, and it’s seriously spooky! It’s a game where you team up with friends – up to four of us can play together online – and we’re basically ghost hunters. We go to these really creepy places, and there are 14 different maps to explore, including a brand new one this year called Nell’s Diner. It’s all about investigating hauntings and trying to figure out what kind of ghost is messing with us.
