
Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft’s gaming division, is retiring from the role.
Additionally, Xbox president Sarah Bond is exiting the company.
Xbox announced leadership changes today through internal emails, with two key departures being part of a larger restructuring.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has revealed that Asha Sharma, who currently leads CoreAI, will be taking over from Spencer as the new Executive Vice President and CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
Spencer will remain in an advisory role through the summer.
Matt Booty is receiving a promotion to Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, and will report directly to Satya Sharma.
