Phineas & Ferb Drops Surprising Gravity Falls Crossover

Following a prolonged absence, Disney’s top summer duo are back! The beloved series Phineas and Ferb is back for its fifth season. The new season maintains the momentum by reintroducing familiar faces, while also sprinkling in some unexpected twists to keep viewers on their toes. To name a few, the mother of our protagonists turns into a cloud, and Candace takes the city streets by storm as she tries to get her driver’s license. The neighborhood even dropped an Easter egg that may catch a few eyes. Intriguingly, Phineas and Ferb has merged with the world of Gravity Falls, which could suggest that these two universes might be interconnected.

In a recent installment of the revived series, “Phineas and Ferb,” Baljeet discovers a garden gnome figure reminiscent of a certain enchanting creature from the initial episode of “Gravity Falls” – Schmebulock. This gnome resembles Schmebulock strikingly, causing ripples among Mystery Shack enthusiasts. In the original series, Schmebulock left quite an impression on Dipper and Mabel due to its peculiar behavior towards their understanding of garden gnomes. However, in a more tranquil depiction, Schmebulock’s people from “Gravity Falls” pose less of a threat to the siblings in the “Phineas and Ferb” rendition, as portrayed in the statue you can see below.

Gravity Falls’ Return

The popular Disney series Gravity Falls wrapped up with its second season finale in 2013, however, it continues to be fondly remembered today. Though Dipper and Mabel’s escapades came to a conclusion then, there’s potential for more adventures down the line given how the series was left open-ended. Last year, Disney Executive Meredith Roberts even hinted at discussions about a sequel with Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch. Here’s an excerpt of what she said regarding the possibility of the Mystery Shack reopening and the studio’s ongoing relationship with the Pine family’s creator.

You know, we’ve been in talks with Alex, who’s soon to release a book with Disney about his project. We’re also working on some short videos. So, who knows what might happen next?

Although there hasn’t been an official announcement for a sequel of Gravity Falls yet, characters from the cherished series have managed to reappear in interesting ways lately. Apart from the Phineas and Ferb Easter egg, Grunkle Stan and Stanford Pines resurfaced in Disney’s Chibiverse, a show that differs significantly from both series mentioned above. Here’s hoping the recent revival of Phineas and Ferb could pave the way for the Mystery Shack to reopen and delve into more mystical realms once again!
