Capcom is releasing a free update for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, and it includes several enjoyable new features.
The update will add several game modes and features that are currently available in newer Ace Attorney games, as seen in the trailer.
When the original Phoenix Wright trilogy was re-released in 2019, it was a simple update of the three games without any major new features or additions.
Later games, like those in the Apollo Justice series and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, included a variety of extra features and activities beyond the main story.
Capcom is now updating Phoenix’s older games to include these features, finally bringing them up to par with the newer releases.
Releasing as an update for the game on 19th November 2025, it’ll receive the following:
- Gallery Mode, where you can view artwork and listen to music from across the trilogy
- Scene Editor, which lets you combine characters, scenes, animations, and more to create bespoke scenarios
- Episode Selection, allowing you to choose specific points to play in each case
- The ability to customise voiceover and text settings separately (Japanese VO with English text, for instance)
- Story Mode, which essentially plays the game for you
- Two new languages supported: Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese
This is a substantial update, particularly since it’s available at no cost, and it’s great that Capcom continues to support the Ace Attorney games.
All that’s really left to do now is make a new one, right?
