Physical Edition at Fault Again for the Second Terminator 2D Delay

The team behind Terminator 2D: No Fate, Bitmap Bureau, has announced another delay for their upcoming side-scrolling game on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. This delay is due to problems with the production of the physical copies of the game.

We initially experienced a delay due to parts needed for the physical game, but those parts have now arrived with the development team. Now, it takes time to assemble the boxed copies, which unfortunately pushes back the release of all versions – both physical and digital – to December 12th, 2025.

In addition to the regular game, a special collector’s edition is available. It includes an artbook, a flipbook, a metal paperweight, a cloth poster, and a collector’s tin. These extra items are likely the reason the game’s release date has been delayed for a second time. You can see details of the collector’s edition below.

The statement from publisher Reef Entertainment reads:

We want to thank you for your patience and support while we finished developing Terminator 2D: NO FATE. We know the release took longer than expected, and we really appreciate you sticking with us. The physical game components have finally arrived after some delays, and we’re now working on assembling everything. We’ll need a little more time to get the physical editions ready to ship.

We’ve decided to release Terminator 2D: NO FATE on December 12, 2025. This applies to both the physical and digital versions of the game.

Look, I’m really sorry about all the delays. We know waiting is frustrating, and we truly appreciate you all sticking with us. We definitely don’t want to let you down! We’re working super hard to make this game amazing, the game you deserve, and we’re getting really close to finally releasing it.
