Renowned horror author Clive Barker shares that he’s delved “far into the depths” of his gloomiest thoughts to contribute to the creation of Hellraiser’s Revival, a fresh single-player horror game developed by Saber Interactive in collaboration with Boss Team Games.
Drawing inspiration from Barker’s realm, where the Cenobites tainted by satanism struggle to discern pain from delight, the enigmatic figure of Pinhead is set to return – with Doug Bradley stepping back into his memorable villain persona once more.
The video reveals that the game is an action-packed, solo survivor experience in the horror genre, boasting a fresh narrative penned by Barker.

As stated in the official announcement, you’ll have the ability to utilize the Genesis Configuration, coupled with various terrestrial weapons, in an immersive first-person perspective. This engaging experience will allow you to deliver consequences, either painful or enjoyable, to your opponents.
Here’s the official blurb:
Explore the story of Aidan, who needs to decipher the secret of the Genesis Configuration, a perplexing puzzle box, to save his girlfriend from a horrifying abyss. As Aidan, you’ll utilize the box’s ominous powers to endure your bargain with the menacing Pinhead and fight against the demented cult that adores him and the Cenobites. If you falter, your torment will be infamous, even in Hell.
As one of the key players shaping this epic game, I’ve got to say, the commitment and passion the dev team has poured into it is simply astounding – nothing less than extraordinary!
He shared: “They’ve delved deep into the world of Hellraiser, grasping its soul – the allure of torment, the aesthetics of the grotesque intertwined – and crafted a storyline that tempts players to cross the boundary. I can’t wait for both the intrigued and the doomed to explore this fresh installment in the Hellraiser lore, where each scene teeters on the edge between terror and enlightenment.
There’s no release date just yet, but the game is available to wishlist on the PS5.
Moreover, you’ll also have the opportunity to reserve two distinct Collector’s Editions. One of these features an exclusive Hellraiser Puzzle Box replica, which showcases a unique lighting effect based on the game, a special Hellraiser figurine for display, and other officially licensed items designed exclusively for these limited collections.
Boss Team Games has proven its skill with horror franchise licenses, having developed Evil Dead: The Game, a game we found enjoyable. In our PS5 review, we gave the asymmetrical multiplayer title an 8 out of 10, praising it as an engaging experience that was simply delightful to play.
But Hellraiser being a single player game has us extremely excited.
As a die-hard fan, am I ever eagerly awaiting Pinhead’s comeback! But let me reassure everyone out there who shares my excitement, there’s no need for shedding any tears just yet. Let’s keep our faith strong and stay tuned for updates!
