Wishfully recently shared a sneak peek at the gameplay and stealth features coming in Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf. The new trailer shows off the beautiful Wemari region, including its forests and villages, and gives players a taste of the dynamic puzzles and stealth sequences Lana and Mui will navigate as they journey across the land.
The game’s art style is typical of Wishfully’s beautiful work, capturing a planet that’s both amazing and full of peril. The levels appear challenging, requiring cleverness and skill to overcome. Luckily, Mui continues to be a great ally and can now use the surroundings to really help you out. As Lana explores, she’ll encounter friends who may need rescuing, adding side quests to your journey across the planet.
The music in this game is particularly noteworthy. Takeshi Furukawa has clearly delivered another excellent soundtrack, following up his great work on the original game. We really enjoyed that first soundtrack, and it suggests that Children of the Leaf is on the right track – it seems to be smartly improving upon what made the first game so good.
I’m so excited, the game is almost here! You can actually play a demo right now on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. If you like it, the full game comes out on March 5th on all those platforms, plus Nintendo Switch! I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
