Now that the final test phase for ARC Raiders has ended, many players have had a chance to experience the gameplay before its official release on October 30th.
The test was a huge success, quickly becoming one of the most popular games on Steam and receiving great reviews.
One of the biggest challenges players faced during the test was the difficulty of the AI enemies, the ARC robots. Many players struggled when encountering these robots while exploring the map.

Streamers have voiced concerns that these enemies are too difficult, leading to some complaints.
Players have reported that the ARC robots are very challenging to defeat, and they’ve recommended that Embark Studios make them a bit easier.
Although a few players have voiced concerns, the vast majority actually want the developers to keep things the way they are.
How Most Players View the Difficulty of ARC Raiders
A user on the Arc Raiders subreddit, u/G-SW-7892, argued that making the ARC robots weaker could actually harm the game.
Many streamers and YouTubers are asking for the Arc robots to be made easier to defeat, arguing that making them weaker would turn the game into just another standard PvP extraction shooter. They believe the Arc robots are essential to what makes this game unique and enjoyable.
The post argues that these robots are powerful enough to win most player-versus-player battles, and weakening them would ruin what makes the game fun.

The developers also explained that, within the game’s story, ARC robots are intentionally designed to be very challenging. This is why everyone in the game world is forced to live underground, constantly hiding from them.
Other players shared their experiences, noting that while ARC robots are challenging, they become more manageable if you focus on their vulnerable areas.
The game also provides plenty of equipment and tools, making it much easier for players to overcome challenging obstacles.

Just so you know, the Server Slam test will only include basic gear. When the full game launches, players will find much stronger equipment, making it easier to defeat the ARC robots.
It’s only less than two weeks before ARC Raiders releases, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
