So, PlayStation just announced they’re going to be at The Game Awards this year, and they’re finally showing off a brand new game that’s only coming to PS5! I’m super excited to see what they’ve been working on.
Housemarque, the studio behind Returnal, will be showcasing their new game, Saros, at the year-end PlayStation event, according to announcements on PlayStation’s social media.
We’re about to get an updated preview of the third-person shooter, which likely includes new gameplay and potentially some details about the story, based on the recent teaser.
This game plays a lot like Returnal, but it has been updated and refined. While it shares many similarities, it isn’t a direct sequel. It takes place in a brand new science fiction world with a completely original cast of characters.
Generally, you’ll experience similar gameplay – avoiding lots of enemy fire, destroying aliens, and becoming more powerful as you progress.
The first gameplay from earlier this year looks great, so we’re certainly excited to see more.
The game is due on 20th March 2026, so it’s not far off at all at this point.
I’m really hoping we get some details soon about when we can pre-order the game, and all those cool-looking special editions that were shown off early. I’m excited to see what they offer!
