PlayStation recently announced the free games available to PlayStation Plus and Premium members. Subscription services like these offer great value for gamers. While Xbox Game Pass is increasing in price to $30 per month, it remains a good deal for frequent Xbox players because of the large number of games included. PlayStation offers a similar service with its PlayStation Plus tiers. Although it doesn’t offer new first-party games on release day and has a slightly smaller game selection than Xbox, PlayStation Plus still adds many excellent games to its library.
PlayStation Plus regularly offers recently released games, and occasionally includes brand new third-party titles. If you play games often on PlayStation and want to expand your library, a PlayStation Plus subscription is a great option. This month’s lineup is particularly strong, with a lot of excellent choices, especially for fans of horror games.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Games for October 2025 Includes Silent Hill 2 Remake
Okay, so PlayStation Plus just dropped a ton of awesome new games, and I’m seriously hyped! The biggest news for me is definitely *Silent Hill 2* – the remake is finally available as part of the Extra or Premium subscription. It came out last October and everyone was talking about how good it was – honestly, it felt like the series needed that boost, and it totally delivered. I’m so glad I don’t have to buy it separately now – time to dive back in!
I was stoked to see that the PS5 version of *Until Dawn* got added to the lineup too! I know some people weren’t thrilled with the changes they made, but this version has a brand new ending that seems to hint at a possible sequel. We don’t know if that’s actually happening, but honestly, it’s worth checking out since it’s included with the subscription anyway.
PlayStation Plus subscribers can now play *Yakuza: Like a Dragon*, a fan-favorite game from a series that’s been on PlayStation for years. If you don’t usually play horror games, this is a fantastic addition to the library and makes your subscription even more worthwhile. Check out the complete list of this month’s new games below.
