A leak from a consistently accurate source has revealed the first free game for PlayStation Plus in March 2026. Unfortunately, it suggests the monthly lineup won’t be very impressive for PlayStation 4 and 5 subscribers to the service.
According to a new report from reliable source Billbil-kun, PGA Tour 2K25 will be the main free game offered to PlayStation Plus members next month. It’s currently unknown what other games will be included. Sony is expected to officially announce the full lineup this Wednesday, February 25th. Interestingly, the previous game in the series, PGA Tour 2K23, was also a free PlayStation Plus title in 2023.

2025 Release From 2K Games
I was so excited when PGA Tour 2K25 finally came out in 2025! HB Studios developed it, and 2K Games published it for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The best part? They also released it on the new Nintendo Switch 2! It’s the sixth game in the PGA Tour 2K series, which started way back in 2014, so it’s definitely the newest one.
The game received a respectable 79 on Metacritic, though many players disagree with that score. User reviews on Steam are lower, with a 69% approval rating, and it has even lower scores on PlayStation (3/5) and Xbox (2/5) stores. Despite this mixed reception, the game was nominated for Sports Game of the Year at the D.I.C.E. Awards, which is a significant honor. However, the nomination feels less impressive considering the limited competition in that category.
PlayStation Plus members will get this game for free, saving them the usual $70 cost if they were planning to buy it. However, PS5 Pro owners shouldn’t expect any special improvements with the free download. And remember to download February’s free PlayStation Plus games while you’re at it!
