Sony has revealed the free games PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive in January 2026, kicking off the new year with some great titles. December was a particularly generous month, offering five free games instead of the usual three. While January’s selection won’t be quite as large, the games announced so far look promising.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will get three free games in January 2026: Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. These games will be available to download starting January 6th and will be playable until February 2nd. All three games can be enjoyed on PS5, and Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Core Keeper are also available on PS4.
Breaking Down the PS Plus Games Lineup

It looks like Need for Speed Unbound will be a featured game on PS Plus in January 2026, and that makes sense! As the newest installment in the popular Need for Speed series, it came out in 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and gamers. If youāre searching for a new racing game, Unbound is a great option to check out next month.
In January, PS Plus is adding Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a newly released game for 2024. This updated version of the classic platformer, originally a Wii exclusive from 2010, puts players in control of Mickey Mouse as he battles a villain called the Blot. Platforming fans will definitely want to check out this great addition to the PS Plus library.
I’m really excited about Core Keeper coming to PS Plus in January 2026 ā it seems like a bit of a hidden gem! It’s an open-world survival game where you explore caves, dig up resources, and basically try to grow your base. If you love games like Stardew Valley, Terraria, or Minecraft, I think youāll really enjoy this one. It’s not super famous yet, but I have a feeling Core Keeper could be the surprise hit on PS Plus next month!
