Okay, so I’m hearing some awesome news for PlayStation Plus subscribers! Apparently, they’re adding what a lot of people are calling the best horror game of 2024 to the service really soon – like, in just a couple of weeks! 2024 was a great year for horror, with titles like *Mouthwashing*, *Still Wakes the Deep*, *Crow Country*, *The Outlast Trials*, and *Fear the Spotlight* all getting a lot of love. But this new game is supposedly the best of the bunch, and it’s going to be way easier to play if you’re a PS Plus member. I’m super excited!
A reliable source, Dealabs, reports that Sony will add Bloober Team’s remake of *Silent Hill 2* to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in October. The game, a remake of the classic Konami horror title, launched a year ago and was highly praised, earning a Metacritic score of 86/100. While Sony hasn’t officially announced this yet, if the report is correct, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members should be able to play it starting October 21st.
October Is a Big Month for Horror Games on PS Plus
Okay, so it looks like PlayStation Plus is *really* going all-in on horror for October, and I’m here for it! We’re probably getting *Silent Hill 2* soon, which is awesome, but the big news is *Alan Wake 2* is coming to the Essential tier! Seriously, everyone’s saying it’s one of the best horror games in years – even better received than *Silent Hill 2* was when it first came out. To have both of these available on PS Plus, especially with Halloween right around the corner, is a huge win for subscribers like me!
The PS Plus Game Catalog offers a wide variety of other great horror games beyond these two titles. You can find games like *The Evil Within 2*, *Outlast 2*, *Until Dawn*, *Dead by Daylight*, *Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted*, and *Crow Country*, to name just a few. If you’re looking for some scary games to play in the coming weeks, PS Plus has plenty of options.
