PlayStation Plus Subscribers Are Losing 8 PS5 and PS4 Games in May 2026

PlayStation Plus members will soon lose access to eight games in May 2026. While new games like Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Wild Arms 4 were just added to the PS Plus Game Catalog in April 2026, some older titles are being removed from the service.

Sony recently announced a list of games leaving PS Plus in May, as shown in the “Last Chance to Play” section on PS5 consoles. The biggest loss is likely Control: Ultimate Edition, the PS5 version of the popular action game by Remedy Entertainment. Also leaving the service are two games from The Dark Pictures Anthology, and both the PS5 and PS4 versions of the indie game Mortal Shell.

Here’s the full lineup of PS Plus games exiting the platform in May:

  • MotoGP 25
  • Sand Land
  • Soul Hackers 2
  • Mortal Shell
  • Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition
  • Control: Ultimate Edition
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope

When Will These PS Plus Games Be Gone for Good?

As always, the PS Plus games will leave the Game Catalog when PlayStation adds new games to the service. This May, that will happen on May 19th, giving players less than a month to enjoy the current selection. PlayStation hasn’t announced what games will be added in May yet, and it will be a few weeks before they do.

If you’re planning to try these games before they leave PS Plus, Control: Ultimate Edition is the best one to play. It’s easily the standout title in the group, and its sequel, Control Resonant, is expected to release sometime in 2026. So, whether you’ve played Control before or are curious about it now that Resonant is coming, it’s worth checking out on PS Plus while you still can.
