For the last five years, Sony has consistently held a “State of Play” presentation each February, making another one likely for next month. Now, a trusted source known as NateTheHate2 has confirmed that a new presentation is scheduled for February 2026.
When asked about a possible State of Play showcase next month, the source confirmed that one is planned.
PlayStation’s State of Play presentations usually highlight games from other companies, with a few announcements about PlayStation’s own titles. For their next showcase next month, Sony might emphasize games like Saros, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, all developed by PlayStation Studios.
We might soon hear more details about Marathon, Bungie’s upcoming game. It’s scheduled to launch on March 5, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Besides these main titles, PlayStation also has several other games in development from its own studios, including projects from Firesprite, two online Horizon games, Media Molecule’s current work, and Fairgames. However, past events suggest this State of Play presentation will focus on just a few PlayStation Studios updates – it won’t be as large-scale as the showcases from five years ago.
