Sony is continuing its 30th anniversary festivities with a collaboration with Anicorn to create some stylish new watches.
Anicorn is a Hong Kong-based company that creates and designs watches. They’ve made their own unique watch designs, and also partnered with companies like SEGA and Kojima Productions on special projects.
To celebrate 30 years of PlayStation, a new line of three watches has been revealed, including a special limited edition model.
As a PlayStation fan, I’m so excited about this! They’re making only 300 of these limited edition mechanical watches, and they look amazing. The design is totally inspired by the original PlayStation – it’s got that classic grey color and all the PlayStation and face button symbols. And get this – the hour and minute hands are shaped like the Start and Select buttons! It’s a really cool tribute to the PS1.
So, each of these watches has this cool little tag – kind of like a memory card – with NFC built in. You can tap it and it unlocks a “digital memory board.” Honestly, I’m not totally sure what that even is yet, but it seems like a fun bonus feature!
The other two watch styles are simpler in design and don’t seem to be special, limited releases. The Play Symbol Dark Mode and Light Mode watches have clean, blank faces where small icons appear to drift around when you move your wrist.
As a fan, I love how the Dark Mode watch looks – it’s all black with these cool, bright symbols. Then there’s the Light Mode version, which is super clean with a white face and silver details. They both have a really different vibe, but I appreciate both designs!
The complete collection will be released on December 18, 2025, and you’ll only be able to purchase it through Anicorn.
As you probably expect, these watches aren’t inexpensive. The limited edition model costs $780, and the Play Symbol versions are a bit more affordable at $250.
Okay, so I just saw these PlayStation watches and they look pretty cool! I’m seriously thinking about trying to snag one for myself. What about you guys? Are you planning on getting one? Let me know what you think down in the comments!
