Isabela Ferrer, who portrayed a younger version of Lively’s character Lily, has accused Baldoni’s team of harassment. However, it was later discovered that his legal team wasn’t the initial one to issue a subpoena against her.
Despite the dismissal of Baldoni’s defamation case by the judge, his ongoing dispute with Lively continues unabated. The latest development has Ferrer making headlines due to accusations that Baldoni’s legal team has been harassing her. However, it seems that legal documents obtained by Deadline suggest it was actually Lively’s team who initially subpoenaed her, with Baldoni later responding in a similar manner.
Certain sections of this legal document are concealed, however, Baldoni’s legal representatives assert that they subsequently contacted Ferrer following Lively’s initial Subpoena. Furthermore, they assertively claim that the young actress has shown resistance towards their legal correspondence, as evidenced by a passage indicating such behavior.
In February 2025, Ms. Lively served a subpoena on Ms. Ferrer, who was represented by Mr. Michelman. It seems that Mr. Michelman accepted the subpoena on behalf of Ms. Ferrer without raising any objections. In July 2025, the Wayfarer Parties issued another subpoena to Ms. Ferrer, asking for documents that were either not provided initially or not specifically requested in Ms. Lively’s initial subpoena. The Wayfarer Parties tried twice to deliver their subpoena to Mr. Michelman, a standard professional courtesy that he may have also extended to Ms. Lively’s legal representative during the first subpoena process.
Ferrer has been in contact with both parties, but Baldoni’s legal team clarified the sequence of events; it was Lively who initially served the Subpoena. According to Baldoni and his team, responding with their own Subpoena is a standard legal procedure.
The captivating saga surrounding “It Ends With Us,” currently streaming with a Netflix subscription, shows no signs of abating. We await developments as Ferrer’s legal team is challenging Baldoni’s petition, even suggesting possible penalties against him by the court.
The recent development marks another chapter in the prolonged legal dispute over the book “It Ends With Us.” Both Baldoni and Lively find themselves under scrutiny not just in the courtroom, but also in the court of public opinion.
