Pokemon Go Players Won’t Want to Miss the Last Major Shiny Hunting Event of 2025

The new Precious Paths season has begun in Pokemon Go! This brings a fresh Go Pass, new Pokemon appearing in the wild, and a series of events. While some exciting new Pokemon are still planned for release in 2025, opportunities to find Shiny Pokemon are becoming less frequent. Luckily, trainers who didn’t catch the Shiny Pokemon from this year’s Community Days will have another chance this weekend.

The December 2025 Pokémon Go Community Day is a special two-day event happening Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time each day. All Pokémon previously featured in 2025 Community Days will return, and every one of them will have a chance of being Shiny! This is a great chance to complete your Shiny Pokémon collection if you missed any earlier events. Keep in mind that different Pokémon will be appearing on each day, so pay attention to the spawns if you’re looking for a specific Shiny!

Event Bonuses for December Community Day in Pokemon Go

During the weekend, you’ll have another chance to evolve certain Pokémon and let them learn their special Charged Attacks. This is a great opportunity if you weren’t able to participate in their Community Day earlier this year, and it gives you another shot at finding the Shiny version of that Pokémon!

Okay, so besides getting to see more Pokémon spawning and having a better chance of finding Shiny ones, there’s going to be a bunch of Collection Challenges and Field Research to tackle. Plus, they’re adding daily Event Bonuses that will be active the whole time the event is running. Here’s what those bonuses are:

  • Special Limited-time Evolution Requirements that make it easier to evolve Pokemon like Espeon, Umbreon, Sylveon, Florges, and Pawmot.
  • Double XP, Stardust, and Candy for catching Pokemon
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance for eggs placed into incubators during the event
  • Higher chance to receive Candy XL when catching Pokemon
  • Extended duration on Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event
  • Stardust requirement for trades reduced by 50%
  • One extra Special Trade allowed

This event is a great way to wrap up this year’s series of Community Days in Pokemon Go. If you’re still hoping to catch the featured Shiny Pokemon, be sure to play this weekend!
