As a dedicated Pokemon Go gamer, I’m thrilled to share that a fresh new season is kicking off on September 2nd! Unfortunately, Niantic hasn’t been too chatty about the theme or any new critters joining our quest yet. But hey, we’ve got some Community Day dates to mark in our calendars! This time, there are only three events lined up, which suggests that a Community Day Classic might not be here until the winter season starts. Here are the upcoming events: [Dates]
- Sunday, September 14th
- Sunday, October 12th
- Sunday, November 30th
It’s unclear which Pokemon will be the focus at this time and we won’t know until the specific event dates approach. Unfortunately, there are no specified times for these Community Day events either. Assuming that each event runs from 2 PM to 5 PM local time unless Niantic makes any changes. Alongside Community Days, Niantic has also announced several important dates for players to remember. From September until November, expect numerous Raid Days, Max Battles, and Shadow Raids.
- Sunday, September 7th (Raid Day)
- Saturday and Sunday, September 20th and 21st (Shadow Raid Weekend)
- Sunday, September 28th (Raid Day)
- Saturday, October 4th (Raid Day)
- Saturday, October 18th (Raid Day)
- Saturday, November 1st (Max Battle Day)
- Friday through Monday, November 21st through the 24th (Max Battle Weekend)
- Saturday and Sunday, November 29th and 30th (Max Battle Weekend)
The ongoing season of Pokemon Go is coming to an end with a Max Finale event, contrary to what the name might suggest, it appears that Max Battles are here to stay. Despite some initial concerns, it seems that Max Battles will continue to be a significant aspect of the game this November, which is quite surprising given their emphasis. It seems Niantic has some grand plans for large Pokemon involving Max Battles!
The team behind the game hasn’t given out more details about the upcoming season of Pokemon Go, but here are some factors to watch for as we approach the new season. First off, there’s a chance that the new season might feature some sort of collaboration with Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The game is due to launch on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16th, right in the heart of the new season. Last year, Pokemon Go had a substantial tie-in with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so it’s possible that we could see something similar this time around. At minimum, the mobile game may introduce some of the new Mega Evolutions from Z-A, such as Mega Dragonite. Additionally, the anniversary artwork for Pokemon Go hinted at the possibility of Paradox Pokemon appearing soon.
