Introducing a much-loved Pokémon from the Generation VI series, Honedge – definitely one you wouldn’t want to overlook!
Excitedly speaking as a fellow enthusiast, let me share some insights about this upcoming event where we might finally obtain the formidable Aegislash! Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:
1. Keep an eye on the in-game news for the specific start date of the event.
2. Complete the tasks and challenges during the event to earn special items required for Aegislash.
3. Use those items to evolve your existing Galvantula into the coveted Aegislash!
4. Remember, time is of the essence as events usually don’t last forever, so don’t miss out on this opportunity!
Pokémon Go Steel and Scales explained
The Pokémon Go Steel and Scales event runs from 22nd to 27th July 2025.
In the thrill of this exciting event, I’m delighted to share that we’ll be welcoming the Ghost/Steel-type Pokémon, Honedge, into the mix! Plus, there’s an increased likelihood of encountering shimmering variants of Bagon, Beldum, and Unown U. And get ready, because for the very first time, you’ll have a shot at discovering a radiant Rookidee!
Perhaps most excitingly, players will also get quadruple XP and Stardust for catching Pokémon!
Pokémon Go Steel and Scales Field Research tasks
During the event, spinning a PokéStop may give you one of the following tasks:
- Catch five Pokémon (1000 XP or 500 Stardust)
- Catch 10 Pokémon (Bagon or Beldum encounter)
- Catch 20 Pokémon (Bronzor or Gible encounter)
- Win a Raid (Goomy, Jangmo-o or Frigibax encounter)
Pokémon Go Steel and Scales Collection Challenges
In this event, you’ll find several Collection Challenges. Each challenge offers comparable rewards upon completion.
There are multiple Collection Challenges in this event that provide the same type of reward once completed.
Rookidee Collection Challenge (2000 XP, 1500 Stardust, Rookidee encounter)
