Today, I stumbled upon an intriguing announcement for a game titled “Tamer Town” that blends city management with creature collection. In this game, you’ll not only assemble a team of adorable Mokitons but also engage in battles alongside them! But that’s not the whole story – as a Tamer, you’ll design neighborhoods and interact with other Tamers, uncovering new tales and expanding your world. It could very well be the long-awaited ‘cozy Pokemon game’ experience I’ve been craving.
What We Know About Tamer Town So Far
Hailing from the creative minds at Crazy Goat Games, known for hits like “Worshippers of Cthulu” and “Republic of Pirates”, comes the anticipated title “Tamer Town”. This game is scheduled to debut in Early Access on Steam in the second quarter of 2026, with a projected full release on consoles such as the Nintendo Switch 2 slated for 2027. Therefore, while snuggling up with your future Nintendo Switch 2 to construct a charming town inhabited by tamers and Mokitons might seem far away, this game could potentially satisfy the long-standing desires of Pokemon enthusiasts.
In Tamer Town, similar to Palworld, creatures aren’t just for combat. They can aid you in various tasks such as resource gathering, powering your town’s buildings, maintaining balance in the environment, and even influencing the mood of your neighborhood. By collaborating with these Mokitons, you can enhance the status of your city, personalize your space, foster growth, and enjoy a blend of light battles, exploration, and urban development.
As a gamer, I’m super excited about diving into Tamer Town at launch! With more than 130 Mokitons up for grabs, there will be plenty to collect. The town management aspect adds depth, while exploring different biomes keeps things interesting. The tactical battles will test my skills, and the surprise events promise to keep me on my toes, influencing how my gameplay unfolds. Can’t wait!
Tamer Town can now be added to your Steam Wishlist as it gears up for its anticipated Early Access launch towards the latter half of 2026. Additionally, developer Crazy Goat Games aims to make the game available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in the year 2027.
