In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can earn Prize Medals by winning battles against trainers in different Battle Zones during the nightly Z-A Royale event. Once the event ends, the Battle Zones close, and your total Prize Medals are calculated – along with any bonus multipliers – to determine your Prize Money in Poke Dollars.
This guide for Pokémon Legends: Z-A focuses on getting Prize Medals as fast and easily as possible.
Z-A Royale Nightly Event
In this Pokemon battle royale, you’ll face trainer after trainer, aiming to collect Prize Medals. Your win rate determines how much those medals are worth. At the end of the event, once the battle area closes, your total winnings will be calculated.
You can earn up to 9,999 Prize Medals each night, which convert to 99,990 in prize money. Owning a fully upgraded Gold Canari Plush increases this to 149,985. You can earn even more by winning battles – a bonus multiplier increases your Prize Medal earnings for each trainer you defeat. This bonus can multiply your earnings up to 3 times, effectively rewarding wins against up to 30 trainers.
If you win 30 trainer battles each night, this increases the possible prize money to $449,955.
While exploring Battle Zones, you’ll occasionally find glowing golden coins on the ground – these are Prize Medals! Each one is worth 10 Poke Dollars before any bonus multipliers are added.
Farming Strategy Tips
To get the most out of the evening event, here are a few helpful tips and tricks.
Don’t bother trying to sneak around unless you have a specific reason. It’ll just slow you down without any benefit. If you have a good team, charge directly into battle and finish it quickly.
Instead of navigating a complex world to find your opponents, you can instantly teleport to the next Battle Zone.
While the world is paused during combat, use the time to recover your health and get ready for the next fight. Ideally, you should already be set up to finish the battle as soon as the pause ends.
After a battle, the game pauses while you collect your rewards, letting you take time to choose your next goal.
You don’t really need to sneak, but if you do, always use cover to hide. The game’s stealth system only focuses on whether enemies can see you, not hear you. This means you can often run right up to an enemy as long as they aren’t looking at you.
The game won’t register your own Pokémon when it’s looking for things, but enemy Pokémon can see you.
Make sure you have a variety of moves available, both for dealing damage and supporting your team, so you’re prepared for any situation and can finish tasks effectively.
These strategies will almost guarantee a high success rate in the Z-A Royale Battle Zones.
Those are the best ways to grind for Prize Medals in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
