As a huge Pokémon Legends: Z-A fan, I’ve been so impressed with how many free Mystery Gifts The Pokémon Company has been giving out lately! We just got a new side quest to catch Mewtwo, and now, with the Mega Dimension DLC coming up, they’re dropping another one! The DLC is launching on December 10th, and they actually released a new code a day early to get us hyped for the next part of the story. What’s cool about this one is that, unlike a lot of the other gifts for the game, we actually need a code to unlock it!
Trainers will be able to get a free Alpha Charizard in Pokémon Legends: Z-A starting December 9th. This offer is only available for a limited time, ending on January 19th, 2025. To claim yours, use the Mystery Gift feature and enter the code B1G0006. We’ll cover everything you need to know about this special distribution, including whether this Alpha Charizard is a worthwhile addition to your team and how to redeem it.
Alpha Charizard Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift Details & Stats
Okay, so as a huge Pokémon fan, I’m super excited about this free Charizard! Apparently, because it’s an Alpha Pokémon, it’s going to be larger than the standard Charizard. And it comes in a Cherish Ball, which is awesome! The moves it knows are already set – when you receive it, it’ll have a specific move set in your Pokémon Box.
- Air Slash
- Dragon Claw
- Flamethrower
- Solar Beam
The special Charizard you receive as a Mystery Gift has a Quiet nature and isn’t holding any item. It will be level 36 with these stats:
- HP: 113
- Attack: 69
- Defense: 72
- Speed: 71
- Sp. Defense: 77
- Sp. Attack: 95
If you’re happy with how things look, or if you like to collect every Mystery Gift, remember to get Alpha Charizard in Pokemon Legends: Z-A before January 19th, 2025.
How to Redeem a Mystery Gift Code in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Getting the Alpha Charizard Mystery Gift is a bit different than getting Diancie or Mewtwo. You’ll need to use a special code within Pokemon Legends: Z-A to claim it. If you haven’t redeemed a Mystery Gift code in Legends: Z-A before, here’s a reminder of how to do it:
- Open up the main menu by hitting X, then select the “Link Play” option
- Navigate to “Mystery Gift” and scroll down to select “Get with Code/Password.”
- Wait for your Switch or Switch 2 to connect to the internet. Once it does, the screen to enter your code or password should automatically pop up
- Type the Mystery Gift code you wish to redeem. For Alpha Charizard, that will be B1G0006
- The system will confirm your password, then you will see an animation of the Mystery Gift being opened.
- To check out your new Alpha Charizard, head to your Pokemon Boxes
