Okay, so Pokémon Legends Z-A is finally here, and as a huge fan, I’m already planning my hunt for all the Legendary Pokémon hidden around Lumiose City! The game’s name really hints at that, doesn’t it?
The game just came out today, so we’re still discovering which Legendary Pokémon are in it. If you don’t want to have the story spoiled, we suggest reading no further.
If you do want to know, we know of three so far.
How many legendaries are in Pokémon Legends Z-A?
There are three Legendary Pokémon to be found in Pokémon Legends Z-A at launch.
There’s been talk and speculation about potential future developments, but it remains to be seen if these rumors are accurate.
Just so you know, you won’t find any Legendary Pokémon in the open world areas of the game. They’re all unlocked after you finish the main story.
Full list of Legendaries in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Pokémon Legends Z-A will feature the legendary Pokémon Zygarde, Xerneas, and Yvetal – a fitting choice given the game’s focus on the letters Z, X, and Y! Here’s a guide to help you catch all three.
Zygarde (Level 84)
You’ll encounter Zygarde as a boss battle during the post-game quest called “To Keep the World in Balance” before you have a chance to catch it.
Xerneas (Level 75)
After completing the main story, you can find Xerneas in Wild Zone 11 as part of a quest called “The One That Gives”.
Yvetal (Level 75)
Just like Xerneas, you can find Yvetal in Sector 2 after completing the main story, during the quest called “The One That Takes”.
Rumors suggest Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion might also appear in the game. It’s unclear if these Pokémon are part of the planned downloadable content, but Mewtwo has also been mentioned, which is interesting.
