Okay, so Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokémon Company just dropped a new trailer for the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and it looks awesome! They revealed Mega Lucario Z, which is a new Mega Evolution for Lucario. Mega Lucario Z is considered a special type of evolution – a ‘Mega Evolution’ – because it only happens when a Lucario is exposed to a Mega Stone. This new form is significantly more powerful than a regular Lucario, so it’s been given a distinct name to differentiate it from the original Mega Lucario.
The main difference between Mega Lucario and its Z-Form lies in how they use their aura. Regular Mega Lucario focuses its aura into powerful attacks, while Mega Lucario Z envelops itself in aura, greatly boosting its defense, movement, and speed. This also lets it manipulate its aura for other purposes, such as creating shields or enhancing its attacks.
The recent announcement of Mega Lucario Z also introduced a new feature to Pokémon Legends: Z-A called Z Evolutions. According to the developers, these Z Evolutions, like Mega Lucario Z, can start using moves faster than regular Mega Evolutions. However, they burn through their power more quickly, making them less effective in extended battles.
I was so hyped when they revealed Mega Zeraora for Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC, and now they’ve dropped another awesome Pokémon: Mega Lucario! They showed off Mega Zeraora last month, and apparently it can store enough energy to equal ten lightning strikes – seriously powerful! I can’t wait to see what Mega Lucario can do.
Mega Zeraora holds an incredible amount of electric power – enough to equal ten lightning strikes. This energy focuses in specific areas on its body, like the bumps on its forehead, chest, back, and hands, which glow with a soft blue light. When fully charged, Zeraora can release attacks strong enough to defeat several opponents all at once.
The upcoming DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, titled Mega Dimension, will be available on December 10th for both Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2, and will cost $29.99. This expansion focuses on what happens after the main story ends and introduces a new legendary Pokémon named Hoopa, as well as a mysterious girl. Players will begin to notice strange distortions appearing in Lumiose City, which will lead them to a parallel dimension called Hyperspace – a mirrored version of Lumiose City filled with even more powerful wild Pokémon.
