It might seem like there wouldn’t be any more surprises for the launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but Game Freak revealed some fresh Mega Evolutions in their final trailer. Moreover, they announced the extra content called Mega Dimension DLC, which becomes accessible once you complete the main storyline and centers around a new Mythical Pokémon named Hoopa.
In this expanded world, known as the Mega Dimension, Hoopa’s extraordinary powers cause intriguing space-time alterations within Lumiose City. Two new Pokémon that have undergone Mega Evolution are introduced – Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. To obtain each of these powerful forms, you’ll need distinct Mega Stones, which can be discovered in the DLC dimension.
For those who own the main game, they’ll be excited to know about the upcoming Mega Evolutions for Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja. To unlock these transformations, you’ll need special Mega Stones that can be acquired from the Z-A Battle Club (a fresh four-player free-for-all mode) or Ranked Battles. It has also been confirmed by Game Freak that Ranked Battles provide rank promotions and end-of-season rewards in addition to the regular battle rewards.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set to debut on October 16th, compatible with both the original Nintendo Switch and the newly released Nintendo Switch 2. On the same day, a special Nintendo Switch 2 bundle will go on sale for $499.99 (while stocks last).
