The creators of Pokemon, Pokemon Company and Game Freak, have unveiled a trailer and a news broadcast-style video for the upcoming game Pokemon Legends: Z-A. This reveal features Mega Malamar, a brand new Pokemon that can Mega Evolve.
Here is the Pokemon’s official description:
Mega Malamar
- Category: Overturning Pokemon
- Type: Dark / Psychic
- Height: 9’6″ (2.9 m)
- Weight: 153.9 lbs. (69.8 kg)
During Mega Evolution, Malamar’s intellect has significantly expanded, causing a surge in potent psychic energy that radiates from its form. This radiant light, vividly hued, intensifies its hypnotic skills, enabling it to manipulate the identities or recollections of individuals at will-an alarming power capable of transforming someone into an entirely distinct personality.
The wavy, luminescent tentacles of Mega Malamar have the uncanny ability to sense emotions in those nearby. In combat, it favors strategic, calculated moves, using its sharp intellect to evaluate situations coolly and effectively. This Pokémon considers all, including trainers, as mere pieces on its board. If a command from a trainer contradicts its beliefs, it may retaliate by putting the trainer under a spell, making Mega Malamar a challenging Pokémon to manage due to its unpredictable behavior.
It seems that Mega Malamar has been using its hypnotic powers on Lumiose City residents lately, which could explain the sudden surge in popularity for this particular Pokemon as seen in a recent video and throughout various Pokemon social media platforms.
The game titled “Pokemon Legends: Z-A” is scheduled for release on both Nintendo Switch 2 and original Nintendo Switch platforms, coming your way on October 16th. Check out our latest collection of screenshots in the gallery.
