Over the past few weeks, I’ve been thoroughly immersed in the exciting series of events surrounding the Legendary Pokémon of Paldea, specifically in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Pokémon Company has announced that they will be distributing Shiny versions of Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu through Mystery Gifts. However, there’s a challenging condition: collectively, we need to defeat each of these four Pokémon in one million Tera Raids. We managed to surpass the Wo-Chien threshold earlier this month with an impressive total of 6,078,885 victories! Now, I’m thrilled to hear that we’ve also conquered the Chien-Pao requirement together.
As reported on Pokemon’s official Japanese Twitter account, players have managed to defeat Chien-Pao a staggering 2,956,622 times so far during this event, but there’s still some time left before it ends, so the final total is yet to be determined. Once the event concludes on August 17th at 4:59 p.m. Pacific Time, Ting-Lu will start appearing in Tera Raids. Players have until Sunday, August 31st at 4:59 p.m. PT to reach the million Raid requirement, which seems achievable for the community given their impressive performance thus far. As long as players maintain their current level of enthusiasm and effort, meeting this goal should be a breeze.
Fans playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can anticipate the Shiny Chien-Pao distribution to start soon. Once activated, gamers will have the chance to obtain this Legendary Pokemon via the Mystery Gift feature. Since all these Shiny Legendary Pokemon are restricted, this is presently the sole authentic approach to acquire them. When the event was initially announced last month, some fans expressed worries that the requirements might be too demanding. Nevertheless, it appears that players aren’t missing out on this chance, and this is certainly a positive sign.
In the upcoming Tera Battles, given that Ting-Lu possesses a Ground Tera type, players should strategize their choices accordingly. It would be advantageous for them to have Pokemon with powerful moves of Grass, Ice, or Water types. However, be mindful that Ting-Lu may also utilize Dark-type attacks, so it’s best to keep away from bringing a Pokemon that shares Psychic or Ghost types in its type combination. For instance, while Decidueye could be strong, its Grass/Ghost type makes it vulnerable against Ting-Lu.
During Ting-Lu Raids, players should be on the lookout for Mass Outbreaks happening across the three regions of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The featured Pokemon share a Ground-type pattern, with Wooper’s regional version showing up in Paldea, Mudbray appearing in Kitakami, and Drilbur found at Blueberry Academy. Players may find it advantageous to investigate the particular areas where each Mass Outbreak is taking place during the event, as they will have a higher chance of encountering Shiny versions of these Pokemon.
