2021, dubbed The Year of Eevee, continues to gather momentum as the Pokemon TCG Pocket edition rolled out its counterpart to the widely acclaimed physical Trading Card Game (TCG) set, Prismatic Evolutions. The freshly debuted Eevee Grove has only been around for a handful of days, yet enthusiasts are diligently amassing all the newly introduced Eeveelution cards. A few cards may disrupt the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta, but overall, we’re more captivated by the atmosphere. And it’s the atmosphere that has certainly lived up to expectations. Among other things, gamers are particularly smitten with the new full art Eevee card, which boasts an intriguing detail that is subtly embedded within its design.
In a compact theme-based expansion, the set named “Eevee Grove” introduces approximately 69 fresh cards to the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. Similar to its traditional counterpart, this set isn’t solely dedicated to Eevee. Instead, it enhances the collection with new cards for Eevee and all its evolutions, featuring captivating artwork and novel abilities. Also included is a trainer card tied to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s famous Eevee trainer Penny and her charming Eevee backpack. However, it’s the stunning full art Eevee that has players appreciating the intricate detail put into the artwork by the Pokemon TCG artists.

The intricate Eevee artwork shared by X account (@SteeloAndKri) on social media is garnering attention. While the cuteness level of this piece might not quite match that of Eevee trying to reach something on a counter, it’s undeniably impressive due to its fine detail. The foliage surrounding Eevee includes an assortment of flowers and berries, subtly incorporating an endearing detail. As @SteeloandKri noted, the various flower colors correspond to each of Eevee’s potential evolutions.
Eevee Grove Won’t Rewrite the Pokemon TCG Pocket Meta, But Gamers Still Love It
In the Pokemon TCG Pocket game, it’s unlikely that the full art Eevee card will be a common addition to competitive decks due to its less-than-effective battle capabilities. Despite being adorable and symbolizing Eevee’s unique ability to transform into various evolutions, its 60 HP and collect ability might not withstand many battles against opponents. Nevertheless, fans still appreciate this card for its charming portrayal of the beloved Eevee character.
One person comments, “These tiny details are delightful,” referring to the post highlighting the intricate detail. Another player is attempting to figure out which flowers symbolize each Eeveelution, demonstrating how these details align with real-world plants. It’s amusing that every Eeveelution receives a flower, except Leafeon, which appears to simply be… leaves.

This subtle, unnoticed aspect becomes clear once it’s marked in this manner, but might go unnoticed otherwise. It is these kinds of elements that make Pokemon card collecting so engaging, beyond their strategic value in battles. The pursuit for minute, cute details has been a part of the experience since the debut of Pokemon TCG Pocket, with its unique take on Exodia, thanks to Snorlax and companions.
In the newest Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket expansion, there are numerous stunning new card designs available. Among them, the one featuring Eevee wandering through a garden that hints at its future evolutions has definitely stood out as a favorite.
