Authorities are piecing together the death of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra.
Following the unfortunate discovery of the fashion designer’s body on a vessel moored at the Montauk Yacht Club on Long Island, the Suffolk County Police Department has revealed fresh insights regarding the situation.
The August 6 update mentioned that an autopsy performed on Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, who was found deceased aboard a boat in Montauk on August 5, did not reveal any signs of violent demise. The exact reason behind her passing will be determined following additional analysis.
In the official statement, it was mentioned that East Hampton Town Police were dispatched to the location following a phone call to 911 made around midnight by an individual who discovered a 33-year-old woman’s body. Despite life-saving measures like CPR being performed on the designer, according to authorities, she was sadly confirmed dead at the scene itself.
The Montauk Yacht Club, located on a vast 16-acre waterfront site, has reaffirmed its dedication to collaborating with authorities. A representative confirmed to CBS News, “We are deeply sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that occurred. Our team is assisting law enforcement in their ongoing investigation and continues to prioritize the security and welfare of our visitors and employees.
Nolan-O’Slatarra frequently visited the Hamptons since her brand, East x East, established a seasonal pop-up store at Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Spa, located about six miles away from the marina. The brand offers swimsuits, resort wear, and accessories.
The entrepreneur from Manhattan, who was born in Ireland, ran a company that celebrated her affection for summer.
