We don’t want to influence your initial thoughts, but we expect the PlayStation Plus Essential games for April 2026 will likely be a mixed bag – some people will love them, and others won’t.
In a nutshell, we’ve got a Soulslike, an anime action RPG, and a remastered collection.
Let’s begin with Lords of the Fallen. It’s a notable title to start with because opinions on the game were fairly divided.
Since its launch in October 2023, this dark fantasy game has been significantly improved with several updates. Most players now agree it’s one of the best Soulslike games available.
Even if you don’t usually enjoy this type of show, we think it’s worth trying. However, that’s not the case with Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream. By now, you either love Sword Art Online or you don’t, and this new version won’t change your opinion.
This game is an online action RPG where you fight monsters, collect tons of loot, and battle ever-tougher bosses. You can team up with many other players for large raids. However, its predictable story and over-the-top anime style might not be for everyone.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered seemed like a perfect choice for fans of the original PlayStation games, but a recent update caused several issues. Hopefully, these problems will be resolved quickly.
