October is usually a fun month for PlayStation Plus members. People are excited about the growing number of new game releases and, of course, getting ready for Halloween!
Luckily, Sony really delivered on that front, because Alan Wake 2 is clearly the biggest and most anticipated game coming out next month.
Remedy’s sequel was a standout release in 2023, earning high praise for its bizarre and cleverly layered story, exploring fascinating ideas. It frequently delivers genuine horror, making it a great choice for spooky season.
Alan is joined by Cocoon, a truly special indie game that many consider the highlight of October’s releases. It takes the concept of exploring unique game environments and elevates it to a whole new level. It’s hard to describe exactly how it works, but we can assure you the gameplay is incredibly engaging and fun.
Finally, there’s Goat Simulator 3, which might be a welcome, lighthearted break after the intensity of Alan Wake 2. It’s silly, but surprisingly enjoyable overall.
