Next week, eight new games will be added to both the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium catalogs. Sony recently announced the complete list, but we’re curious to hear if you think it’s a good selection.
I’m really loving PlayStation Plus Extra! It feels like Sony’s sweet spot for a subscription – it’s not the most expensive, but the game library is seriously impressive. They’re consistently adding great games, and honestly, there are so many hidden gems and popular titles in there. It’s a fantastic value for the money, in my opinion.
We’ve added two more games to our list: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Persona 5 Royal. Space Marine 2 is a fantastic, action-packed shooter that’s received great updates since launch, and Persona 5 Royal is, in our view, one of the greatest JRPGs of all time.
Blasphemous 2 is a fantastic sequel that continues the strong momentum of the series. It’s a gripping side-scrolling adventure with challenging, intense combat and a dark, often disturbing, gothic art style.
Metal Eden is a fast-paced and highly-rated sci-fi shooter that’s great for players who want a challenging, action-packed experience. It’s incredibly frantic!
Madden NFL 26 is the latest installment in the yearly sports simulation series, and it’s likely to be a popular addition for PlayStation Plus subscribers. While it might not be everyone’s favorite, the Extra subscription tier is all about having a wide range of games to choose from.
If you choose the premium option, you’ll receive one new game: Tekken: Dark Resurrection, originally for the PSP. It’s a solid choice, though!
We’ve been having a lot of fun revisiting classic Tekken games on PlayStation 5. It’s a shame, though, that Dark Resurrection probably won’t include Trophy support, just like the older games. Bandai Namco, why aren’t you adding Trophies?
