Following the positive response from subscribers about the August offerings of both PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium, we are eager to find out if September’s lineup will be able to live up to the anticipation.
Honestly, we’re guessing that it won’t.
To clarify, we’re not implying that September’s lineup is poor – quite the contrary! However, it seems to be missing the wide-spread popularity enjoyed by our offerings in August.
It’s worth noting that while professional wrestling has become popular, many may find it off-putting that WWE 2K25 is the main attraction for Extra. Just as with sports games, people either have an interest in the particular sport or they don’t.
Upcoming next is Persona 5 Tactica, a strategic spin-off that didn’t quite make a splash even among dedicated fans of Persona 5. To some, this 2023 game felt like one more step too far – but for those hesitant, its appearance on this list offers an opportunity to finally give it a go.
Speaking of Fate/Samurai Remnant, this supplementary version is starting to appear quite anime-like, but don’t let that fool you. This action role-playing game is surprisingly underrated. It boasts an intriguing alternative history narrative, compelling characters, and a remarkable feeling of progression. Plus, it comes with an outstanding opening theme song.
In other places, the thrilling horror adventure “Crow Country,” reminiscent of PS1 games, is certainly worth checking out. For enthusiasts of intriguing sci-fi mysteries, “The Invincible” should not be missed.
Regrettably, for those who subscribe to the highest-tier PS Plus Premium, only one game is being offered again this time – the controversial sequel, PS2’s Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
