As a devoted fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I finally grasped that the day had come – Hollow Knight: Silksong has landed! Yes, you heard it right, the long-awaited sequel to Hollow Knight that feels like it’s been in the works for an eternity.
Indeed, the past two weeks have been quite a rollercoaster ride! During Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, Silksong surprised us with a teaser, and shortly after, they revealed the official release date. The entire experience felt somewhat dreamlike, considering the anticipation fans have had for this sequel’s arrival.
Interestingly, despite expectations, Sony seemed to miss the mark with Silksong on the PS5. Puzzlingly, the game was not available for download on the PlayStation Store until nearly three hours past its scheduled release time. It’s hard not to wonder about the potential financial losses this may have incurred for Sony…
If the original Hollow Knight hadn’t been so popular, there wouldn’t be such a big deal about it now. This acclaimed action platformer resonated strongly with players of all ages and has since earned its place among the most respected indie games ever created.
Instead of jumping right into Silksong, are you eagerly anticipating this sequel’s release? Is it about time we once again don the cape and poke some insects with our sewing needles?
