September was an incredibly busy month for new PlayStation 5 games, and many would say it was the best month for PS5 releases all year.
October is shaping up to be just as busy as September was, and we’ve published a lot of reviews in the past month.
Let’s start with Hollow Knight: Silksong – it’s been in development for a long time, and fans have been eagerly awaiting it. Team Cherry’s sequel generated a lot of excitement with its recent announcement, and early signs suggest fans are really enjoying it.
Despite being a very different game, Borderlands 4 faced a similar problem to other highly anticipated sequels. Technical issues and poor performance held it back, diminishing the excitement of its long-awaited release.
Overall, Gearbox’s new game has been very well-received, and it will be interesting to see how it performs against the other major releases in our Game of the Month voting.
Silent Hill F is likely to split opinions among fans, but it’s a major release and potentially features one of the most impactful stories in gaming last month.
Beyond just stories, the game *Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter* is particularly noteworthy for its success. This complete remake of Falcom’s original *Trails* game has received incredibly positive reviews and is now considered one of the best in the series.
September brought a diverse range of new releases, with something to appeal to almost every gamer. We saw everything from the continuing story of Baby Steps to the latest installment in the EA Sports FC series, and excitingly, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles was at long last released.
