It’s been a little over a week since we released Ghost of Yotei, and we’re really excited about how it’s been received. We know we say this a lot, but it’s one of our most anticipated games of 2025!
Yotei, the next chapter in the Ghost of Tsushima story, takes place centuries after Jin Sakai’s journey. However, it builds upon the successful gameplay of the original game rather than trying to completely change it.
This sequel is an evolution of what came before, refining and adding to the established gameplay. However, the developers at Sucker Punch have repeatedly emphasized that it also aims to be a more open and expansive experience.
This game gives players a lot more freedom than Ghost of Tsushima, and that’s a big reason why people have been enjoying it so much.
In our review of Ghost of Yotei for PS5, we found it to be a fantastic sequel that improves on the original in every way, giving players true control over their experience.
Building on strong combat, a compelling story, and impressive use of the PlayStation 5, Sucker Punch Productions has truly surpassed itself with this incredible sequel. ‘Ghost of Yotei’ is their best game yet, earning a well-deserved 9 out of 10.
We also produced a big 100% Ghost of Yotei guide, if you need any help with the game.
