Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties?

Now this should make for an interesting review score poll…

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties have been out for over a week, and people have had very different reactions to them.

Okay, so I’ve been following the reviews, and it seems like most critics are giving this game around a 7 or 8 out of 10. Honestly, that’s a little disappointing because it actually makes this one of the lowest-scoring games in the whole Yakuza/Like a Dragon series in a long time!

Fans who are really dedicated to the series think the game is okay on its own, but mostly consider it a disappointing remake. Opinions are pretty mixed overall.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 has received criticism for altering the story of the original Yakuza 3 and for replacing some of the actors who played important characters.

As a fan, I’ve noticed they didn’t just copy the original – they actually changed things up! They trimmed some of the old stuff to make room for new activities and tell the story in a fresh way. It’s not a straight remake at all, it feels more like they took the core ideas and completely reimagined them.

Even though we had some issues with the story and character choices, we really enjoyed playing the game. Our review of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties on PS5 gave it a score of 8 out of 10 – we called it great!

We really think Kiwami 3 is RGG Studio’s best remake so far, and one of the most fun games in the whole series to actually play. It’s frustrating though, because some unnecessary mistakes hold it back from being truly great.
