Man, if you thought June was quiet, wait until we recap the PS5 games that came out in July!
Well, you might find July a bit intense if you look at it from a certain perspective. truthfully, there was quite an active release schedule that month. However, it’s important to note that the big-name releases were relatively scarce, leaving room for indie titles to shine. Consequently, fans of smaller games had plenty to keep them occupied as numerous indie games vied for attention last month.
Our releases – Anger Foot, The Wandering Village, Time Flies, and Wheel World – have been well-received, each one unique in its own way. The independent scene thrives on creativity.
Regarding the high-profile games mentioned earlier, how about we discuss July’s releases like this? For instance, among the notable titles last month were Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remaster, which many have been eagerly waiting for, and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike game that piques curiosity.
As a gaming enthusiast, there’s no denying that the recent release I’ve been eagerly waiting for was definitely the talk of the town this month. However, despite all the buzz, it seems like the lukewarm reception from both critics and fellow gamers has put a bit of a speed bump on my excitement for Wuchang.
Instead, it appears that virtually everyone is enamored with Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. This side-scrolling action platformer masterfully blends the raw intensity of retro violence with contemporary design elements, making it a crowd favorite for its ease of appeal.
1. RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is definitely worth checking out. It serves as a kind of standalone mini-sequel to the 2023 movie, Rogue City, which was fun despite its lack of sophistication.
2. If you enjoyed the tactical shooter genre and appreciate more realistic military encounters, then Ready or Not is definitely worth your attention. It gained a lot of popularity among fans who enjoy that kind of gameplay.
Instead, let’s remind you that it’s nearly voting time for this month’s Game of the Month! However, prior to diving into the poll, let me briefly review our winners from 2025 thus far…
