Three distinct situations can arise when it comes to the game Vampire Survivors – you might still be uninitiated, deeply engrossed in playing it, or taking a break from your obsession with it. Our personal experience confirms this.
If you’re looking for a game that combines captivating auto-attacks, role-playing game (RPG) advancement, and roguelike features, you might find Halls of Torment intriguing as it’s heading to PlayStation 5 soon.
Drawing clear inspiration from Poncle’s acclaimed game, Halls of Torment incorporates elements reminiscent of Diablo, featuring a vintage, pre-rendered visual style to evoke nostalgia.

The game shares many characteristics with Vampire Survivors, including goal-oriented advancement across multiple levels, a diverse cast of characters, an array of weapons and loot to discover, and more.
As a gamer, I can’t help but appreciate this game that others may label as derivative. But guess what? It seems to be hitting the right spots, considering it boasts nearly 30,000 “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam, has sold over a million copies on PC, and sports a Metascore of 88!
The exact launch date for the PlayStation 5 hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s available for pre-order or wishlisting on the PlayStation Store already.
In addition to its console release, the highly-anticipated premium DLC, titled “The Boglands,” is also coming soon. It will also be playable on PlayStation 5.
The expansion pack introduces a fresh stage, novel characters, missions, powers, artifacts, and much more. Additionally, it features the introduction of an Earth element and a decay mechanism that gradually weakens enemies’ armor.
