Power Rangers Reboot Reportedly Just Cast 3 Rangers (Including Red)

The upcoming Power Rangers reboot on Disney+ is gaining traction, and reports suggest a wide-ranging search for the main cast. Now, sources indicate that three of the five Power Rangers have been cast, including the actor who will play the Red Ranger – expected to be the team leader.

I’m so excited about the new Power Rangers cast! From what I’ve heard, Elizabeth Lee is going to be our Red Ranger. Plus, Joel Oulette is taking on the role of the Blue Ranger, and Momona Tamada will be the Pink Ranger. Now we’re just waiting to find out who will play the Black and Yellow Rangers – hopefully, that news comes soon!

The New Power Rangers Cast Includes Avatar and Disney Stars

Now that three of the five new Rangers have been revealed, let’s meet them! Peyton Elizabeth Lee will play the Red Ranger. Many Disney fans will recognize her from her roles in Andi Mack, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Secret Society of Second Born Royals, Descendants 3, and the 2024 film Carved. If the casting is confirmed, she’ll be the third woman to play the Red Ranger, following Lauren in Samurai and Amelia in Cosmic Fury.

The new Blue Ranger will be played by Joel Oulette. You might recognize him from his role as Thunder in the popular series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, or as Robbie Hood in Disney’s Descendants, a role he’ll be returning to in the upcoming Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. He’s also appeared in shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sullivan’s Crossing, and My Life with the Walter Boys.

Momona Tamada is the latest actor confirmed for the upcoming Power Rangers movie, and she’ll be playing the Pink Ranger. You might recognize her from her role as Ty Lee in the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender – she’s coming back for season two too! Tamada has also appeared in shows like The Baby-Sitters Club and The Spiderwick Chronicles, as well as the video game Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Her most recent work is the series Happy Face, where she played the character Eve.

Casting for the show is progressing rapidly, and we should have the full team of Rangers announced soon. We’re still waiting to hear who will play the villain, and while Rita Repulsa seems like the likely choice, it’s not confirmed. We’ll just have to wait for more information.

The Power Rangers Reboot currently has no release date, but we’ll keep you posted when that changes.
